London Fashion Week 2016 Day 3

Romance and creativity, low style and fast style, provocation and the bohemian mood coexist in the third day of London fashion shows, demonstrating a trend always evolving and looking for new inspiration.

Femininity easy Jonathan Saunders to mood futuristic vintage MM6 Maison Margiela, the third day of London Fashion Week SS 2016 was a veritable melting pot of styles.

Seemingly distant and uneven, the collections go up on the catwalk are in fact all characterized by a strong experimental and innovative spirit which is the same aesthetics and philosophy of the various fashion houses and designers to the search for new forms of solutions, materials and volumes.

Color, romance and creativity

He chose the color,  Jonathan Saunders, as leitmotif of his spring-summer collection 2016. The Glasgow designer has used  vibrant colors in opposition and intense fantasies, also mixing the two together, to create a range of clothes full of energy and at the same time of grace, essential and seductive. From skirts overlapping panels to kimono-style dresses, every piece of the proposal for the next season is in fact designed to outfit a contemporary and pragmatic woman, but by the strong femininity.

Just like that imagined by Alice Temperley, fashion designer namesake brand Temperley London, who inspired by the colors and suggestions of Havana and the images of the photographer Robert Polidori he has put together a collection suspended between romance and sincerity, dreams and reality.

E ‘rather a tribute to the creative and independent women of today to the spring-summer 2016 proposal Paul Smith, who mixed thirst robust, serigraphs and prints high engineering, soft t-shirt and generous caftans, bias cuts, drapes and flowing forms in a modern collection but reassuring, meant to be worn all day and be suitable for all circumstances.

Low style VS fast style

By rigorous material and stylistic research of Issa London and Pringle of Scotland at the ends rather than ready-to-wear Topshop Unique, London Fashion Week highlights the difference between style and fashion.

If the geometric-inspired dresses, characterized by a palette of basic colors-white, black, blue, fluorescent yellow-and embellished with materials and processes with high technological content of Issa London and the spring-summer collection 2016 Pringle of Scotland, inspired the aesthetics of the sculptor Louise Bourgeois and manufactured knitted fabrics and processed to reproduce the effect, in fact, represent the low style and a nice pleasant and functional, the proposed Topshop Unique is the emblem of the fast style. Of what you wear because it is fashion and fashion is because you are wearing.

An obvious contradiction, but perhaps only apparent, as evidenced by the perfect – or almost – the coexistence of the two fashion ecosystem approaches and the undisputed success of both.

Bohemia and said Provocazione

In the rich “crucible” of the third day of London Fashion Week there was also room for provocation and the bohemian mood, genre that does not fail almost never at the Fashion Weeks.

It ‘true, however, that the interpretation offered by Mary Katrantzou is absolutely unique and very innovative, as well as “faithful” to the feel of the designer. Among folk influences and “space”, quilting iridescent, metallic brocades, lurex, embroidery, crystals and sequins, are in fact micro-space decorations, real workhorse of the fashion designer.

As always manages to amaze even Vivienne Westwood, which in the collection SS 2016 Red Label iconic mainstays of his style mixes-corsets and historical influences – in a lightness and unprecedented portability, while it is a daring mix of used and new, futuristic and contemporary the proposal MM6 Maison Margiela.
