The industrial clerk is needed in companies in different sectors and in almost all commercial areas of the company. He deals with business issues and is responsible for buying and selling materials and products for the company. The industrial clerk organizes work processes and projects, prepares cost estimates and ensures an adequate list of personnel for their implementation.
Typical tasks of an industrial clerk
The industrial clerk guides operational procedures and processes within a company from a business point of view. He is used in almost all areas of the company: In the finance department, for example, he creates expense and performance calculations and thus checks various processes for their efficiency. In the sales area or in sales, he takes care of the preparation of offers and conducts sales talks. In the production area, the industrial clerk is responsible for the production processes, and in human resources he is involved in the selection of new employees.
The industrial clerk is therefore challenged in many ways. He is in contact with customers and suppliers as well as with employees and management and is therefore a central interface and control point in the company.
Industrial clerk is a recognized training occupation. The dual training lasts three years and is completed both in the vocational school and in a company. The industrial clerk usually acquires special knowledge during their training and can be deployed accordingly. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team are other important prerequisites for this job.
Preference is given to applicants with a general or technical university entrance qualification.
