Job Description Head of Investment Controlling

The Head of Investment Controlling leads the Investment Controlling team and is responsible for this area. This position is often found in international companies where the job holder is responsible for the planning and reporting of the subsidiary.

Part of the job and the typical tasks of a head of investment controlling

Active investment management is one of the most important tasks of the Head of Investment Controlling. In addition, he and his team prepare the monthly participation report and analyze and comment on it. The decisive factor here is that he identifies weak points at an early stage and develops strategies to counteract them.

As part of a continuous improvement process, he further develops or builds up the existing reporting, planning and risk management systems. In some cases, consulting and cooperation in the areas of company formation, joint ventures and company takeovers are also part of his spectrum.

We are looking for applicants with a degree in business administration with a focus on controlling, marketing or international management for this interesting position. Employers also require relevant work experience.

Furthermore, applicants should be very familiar with MS Office – with the focus here being on professional handling of Excel. However, the Head of Investment Controlling also requires in-depth knowledge of the ERP system used and its modules (e.g. SAP CO-PA or SAP BI).

The challenges of this profession are best mastered by candidates with strong communication skills and assertiveness, who also act confidently on international terrain – very good foreign language skills are essential.
