The Group Consolidation Specialist performs group consolidations in a group of companies to present the overall financial position of the group. In doing so, he may have to take different currencies and taxation into account if the companies are based in different countries.

The Group Consolidation Specialist prepares consolidated financial statements for all companies involved in accordance with the rules of the IFRS. He is responsible for preparing the budget and forecasts. The Group Consolidation Specialist is responsible for reporting at group level and preparing figures for top management at local and international level. His tasks include, for example, the conception and development of a new reporting system and other adequate control mechanisms as well as the implementation and further development of a uniform consolidation software.
He participates in the preparation of the annual business report and continuously optimizes the accounting guidelines and other internal processes of the company.
The consolidation specialist manages the data of all subsidiaries in the reporting system and regularly verifies it in the Management Information System (MIS). For subsidiaries, but also for auditors and management, the Group Consolidation Specialist is the first point of contact when it comes to accounting issues.
He coordinates and looks after all foreign subsidiaries and works closely with the Controlling and Accounting departments. In addition, he takes on special tasks in the preparation of financial statements and process optimization.
