The group accounting officer is primarily responsible for the balance sheet accounting. He specializes in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for corporations in accordance with the guidelines of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and international legal standards (IFRS).
The Group Accounting Officer is the contact for domestic and foreign companies on accounting and reporting issues as well as for auditors. He works on balance sheet-related projects and the further development of the reporting system. He uses consolidation software and carries out special tasks in the context of finance and accounting.
He independently looks after foreign subsidiaries in accounting issues and accompanies intercompany reconciliations between the international companies. The group accounting officer analyzes results and ensures the quality of the accounting. In addition, he is involved in balance sheet-related projects and the further development of the reporting and information systems.
He is responsible for consolidation matters within the group and he handles the payment process within the framework of the group’s cash pooling. His tasks also include developing and implementing new business processes in group accounting, as well as working on specialist projects.
The accounting officer should have completed a degree in business administration and have several years of professional experience in accounting for groups or with auditors.
