A manager of financial reporting is responsible for the archiving of financial data and the coordination of the legal and financial teams in a company, insurance company, financial organization or even a governmental institution.
He can have many different duties and responsibilities, all related to overseeing the company’s finances. He confirms the correctness of accounts and financial reports and finds ways to reduce or avert costs.
The Financial Reporting Manager keeps an eye on trends by reviewing financial reports. However, his key function is to support and advise the management and board of directors in financial decision-making. He reports directly to the Management Board or the CFO.
Typical tasks of a financial reporting manager
The Financial Reporting Manager is the central contact person in the company for all budget issues. He is skilled in the preparation of financial statements and activity reports showing business finances and forecasts. He meticulously reviews financial reports to ensure that all legal requirements are accurately met.
The Financial Reporting Manager looks for ways and means of improving the allocation and distribution of finances in such a way that costs can be reduced as much as possible.
