Typical duties of a tax assistant
The tax assistant represents individual customers and companies before the tax office together with a freelance tax consultant or within a consulting firm. This applies to the entire tax planning as well as the improvement and optimization of corporate structures such as e.g. B. Group structuring and location planning.
The tax assistant often takes care of individual tasks, such as researching required information, filling out Excel sheets and obtaining information. He supports a tax consultant in tax advice on reorganizations, company acquisitions and sales as well as in the choice of location.
The tax assistant assists with appraisals regarding company finances and employee assignments. He assists the tax consultant in the evaluation of offsetting methods and in the design of employee participation models. The condition for the position as a tax assistant is a recognized professional training with passed tax consultant examination before the Chamber of Tax Consultants. A university degree in economics or law is still a prerequisite. Tax assistant is an entry-level position.
