The tax specialist supports the tax department and the team within a company or organization in all national and international tax-related questions that arise. The tax specialist is often an entry-level position.
Typical tasks of a tax specialist
The tax specialist is responsible for checking and complying with tax regulations within a company or organization. With his team, he ensures the optimal tax structure of internal company processes and issues. He commissions tax payments and monitors them regularly.
He is involved in the preparation and review of tax returns, tax balance sheets and tax assessments, uncovers discrepancies and irregularities and reports them. The tax specialist advises and supports the preparation of tax planning and the initiation and implementation of tax strategies.
