The aim of the logistics controller is to ensure the profitability of his area through target/actual comparisons of costs and services. To do this, he creates analyses, which he prepares and makes available to the responsible persons and/or customers.

The logistics controller determines the logistics costs for individual projects. In companies in which he manages logistics orders for customers, he coordinates the requirements with them and defines and implements interfaces between the ERP systems. He creates monthly, quarterly and annual plans as well as monthly statements, extrapolations and analysis of results. He identifies possible weaknesses and potential that can contribute to improving results and staying within budget.

Logistics controllers usually have a degree in economics or are industrial engineers.
